Why RenoScribe exists
Material calculators are easy to find. A coherent, checkable shopping plan is harder.
The problem we are solving
DIY projects often start with several disconnected calculators, different assumptions and forgotten package sizes. RenoScribe brings the essential estimates together while keeping every consequential input visible.
Our standard
A result should be understandable before it is trusted. We publish the formula, identify the allowance, round purchase units transparently and state where product instructions or professional judgment must take over.
How the site is made
AI assists research, drafting and production. Calculator results do not come from a language model: deterministic formulas with bounded inputs produce them, and automated tests verify reference cases. Sources and limitations are documented so the useful part can be checked.
Independence
RenoScribe does not currently accept sponsored placements or collect personal project data. If advertising or affiliate relationships are introduced, they will be labeled and will not change calculator outputs.
